Creating Halloween Greeting Cards
Posted By: Admin - On: August 04, 2008Many individuals enjoy the spookynite thrills that Halloween greeting cards provide. There are many stores that carry these types of cards. In addition to this, the internet is loaded with websites that will allow you to either purchase the cards, or print out the seasonal greetings. Many of these may even allow you to send a Halloween greeting card through the means of email and/or the United States Postal Service.
However, why go out and purchase these cards when you can create your own Halloween greeting cards? Not only will the receiver enjoy a personalized card, but you can save a lot of money by simply creating your own. In this article, you will be introduced to various methods that you can use to make your cards unique.
The first thing that you will want to do is to gather up some basic arts and crafts supplies. Glue, construction paper, scissors, tape, crayons, markers, and similar items are an absolute must. Now you can use just about any color when it comes to creating Halloween greeting cards, but the best colors are white, black, orange, red, and even gray.
You will want to maintain the whole "spooky" look and feel. Now, you must decide what kind of design to go with. One that I really like is the shape of the angry black cat. I would print this shape out and use it as a template on my construction paper in order to duplicate the shape. Once you duplicate the shape, simply cut it out. You may elect to do only one, or you may want to create a cover and a back as well. The choice is yours!
Now, take a piece of white construction paper and cut out a ghost figure that can fit conveniently between the cat shaped pages that you have created. Take one flap - the bottom one - bend it over and tape it to the inside of the card. This way, when the receiver opens it, the spooky, silly ghost will pop up and surprise them!
You may want to add drawings of Halloween pictures, or even include a piece of candy taped on the front. These types of things really bring out the best in a homemade Halloween card. This is just one example that you can use when creating your own Halloween greeting cards. Just be creative, and you are sure to win the heart of the receiver!
